If you’re coming to Amsterdam in Summer, you should definitely visit De Oeverlanden park. Either if it’s sunny to relax naked on the open field and take a nap in the middle of your visit. Or to enjoy one of the world’s unique official gay cruising area. It’s actually official as authorities have dedicated a part of the park to cruising (they even indicate with some signs where you can cruise). And cruising is strictly limited to this area. It’s mostly gay guys coming here, but you occasionally have some straight people too. The area works both at day and at night. In summer you may also find a bus where you can do some free STD tests. Always good to know.

it's hard to believe it for visitors, but indeed, Amsterdam has put in place an official gay cruising area in one of its park !! it may take some of the interest away for some people who like the underground and illegal part of cruising, but I just love to go there and tell myself that I can enjoy as much as I want, no policeman is coming to stop me! Great diversity of crowd coming here, with a good deal of cute guys, and both Dutch and tourists. One of the best gay cruising area I have ever experienced from far !
