Il barattolo, is a nice bar to go for gay people visiting Bologna. As in the rest of the city (Bologna is full of students) the bar is full of young people and very lively, especially on weekends. It can be hard to find a seat in the small terrasse outside, but people are very friendly and it shouldn't be a problem to share a table. Big plus : drinks are very cheap!! It's absolutely worth to visit Il Bartolo if you're coming to Bologna, especially if it's the end of the week or a week end !!
